Today’s self care was all about food. Yesterday I walked enough to easily cover today’s quota, but I’m pleased to report that I’m in enough of a “get more steps in my day” groove that I parked in the back forty at Target and My Organic Market while I was shopping out of sheer habit. That felt good.
For lunch I had the last bit of the pecan stuffed pork loin I got from Whole Foods – $6 worth that has lasted me three meals. Served with the last of a plum chutney I made, mixed greens, an entire tomato with mayo and gomasio, and pumpernickel toast. Tasty. And gorgeous, although the photo does leave something to be desired.
Dinner was an Amy’s margherita pizza with added prosciutto, served with a kale and carrot salad. I think I’m going to have an apple and maybe some popcorn here in a bit as well.
No big revelations or stresses today. Just some desk work, some nice phone calls with girlfriends, and a night in with Netflix. Peaceful. I did get stuck in rush hour traffic trying to get across Old Town at 6pm, but I wanted to practice my piece for the Solo Performance show next week so I had plenty of time to run through it over and over and over again. You know you’re in a good place spiritually when taking 35 minutes to go one mile is cool by you.
